From Edmonton to international festivals, The Impossible Journey immersive experience has been selected to show at Domefest West in Colorado. Many thanks to Ryan Moore, Executive Director of the Fiske Planetarium, for providing all the essential details to make the trip and experience navigable. The gears are spinning, as I begin to organize my journey south, as a writer and an artist, to provide my insights on the process of immersive dome show creation.
Unlike typical rectangular format content, immersive media requires the creation of visual worlds that bring creative and scientific insight. The experience can be considered more theatrical, because it carries an audience forth into an exploratory realm that is fully encompassing and immersive. As a creator, I believe story comes first, and it’s the science and understanding that has the capacity to make change on a worldwide scale.
I look forward to participating in all events, April 22 to 26, and inflicting my vision of immersive media for entertainment and awareness on anyone who dares to listens.
